Primary theoretical model of Active Inference.
Proficient in use of mainstream diagnostic manuals (e.g., ICD-11, DSM-5-TR) but also considerate to alternatives: RDoC, HiTOP, PDM-2, PTMF. Preference for whole-person, embedded-systems-based formulation. More specifically, using active inference for a biopsychoecological framework recognising developmental, attachment, and mentalization processes enacted within physical and socio-cultural environmental contexts.
Primary area of expertise in trauma, personality (especially anankastic/obsessive-compulsive and “borderline”), dissociative, functional neuro/somatic, and treatment-resistant (e.g., anxiety, depression, eating) conditions. Also focussed to those ‘doing-well’ (high-functioning) but lacking ‘well-being’ (fulfilment) in life.
Individual supervision available for clinical psychology registrars or endorsed clinical psychologists. Group supervision available for registrars seeking to develop their competence in relational and process-oriented therapy.
Provision of training, seminars, or presentations for a variety of groups, services, and events. Topics welcome from neuroscience, clinical psychology, or the synthesis of the two.
